having a blank moment and dont know what to search on google.

I have 8 USB Ports on my PC (4x2.0 & 4x3.0)

Im using all except 1..as i own a lot of devices etc. So was looking
for a box that splits them into say 8 more USB slots? maybe in 3.0?

Is this a thing?

usb hub but you need to make sure you search for a 3.0 version though.

so it plugs into a USB 3.0 port? doesnt weaken those 7 new ports because its split by 7?

wouldn't say weaken but it will just use the power that is needed to run the amount of usb's that you have plugged in so yeah it would take some power but its an eco friendly version I think you can also turn on the usb ports on or off with the buttons so they don't all have to be on.

It shouldn't have reduced power. Each socket on the hub runs in parallel with the main source, all the child USB sockets should have the same power as your standard USB port.

It shouldn't have reduced power. Each socket on the hub runs in parallel with the main source, all the child USB sockets should have the same power as your standard USB port.
