Just got the game and was wondering what you guys think of which character to be to start of with? Like as in Dark Elf, Human etc.

I don't think there is a best just go with what ever your preference is

Like with all games of this style, the best race to use is one you feel best suits you. Only you can pick the best, if you ask other people you'll end up with either everyone playing the same character or you'll end up getting 100 replies with each one saying something different.
