My rant today is about shitty laptops. I had bought a $1600 laptop off of amazon, but it's an asus, so it seemed like it would be good, and it was for the first 3 weeks. Then all of the sudden when downloading a steam game, I hear the hard drive make a noise, and it just died. Critical process died. I looked it up online and apparently people have the same problem with the laptop and I ended up calling asus and they said I have to ship it in. My rant is how can they sell these shitty laptops when there are reviews of the same laptop online crashing by multiple people? You would think that they would have fixed it by now. I can guarantee anyone that the problem that has occurred was not in my fault, because up to now the only things I have downloaded were steam games and the Addons that come with the games. Now I have to send this laptop in and have the data probably erased and that makes me even more mad, considering that my internet is so terrible that to download 1 gig it takes half a day, and on average a steam game is above 7 gigs, so imagine how fun that's going to be for me to redownload it all.

I think a lot of laptops these days are very unreliable. PCs are really the only way to go these days haha.

Yeah I was going to get a pc but I have college so I need a laptop, and this one happens to just break on me after 2-3 weeks. Good thing I don't have to go to college till August, this predicament would have screwed me over. If it does the same thing when I get my laptop back, I'm definitely getting a refund from these people

Then don't buy a garbage one. It's your responsibility to research things/find other versions of products before buying them.
Partly the companies fault due to the errors yes, and it is very annoying I agree. But some of it is down to you.

And you still bought it? That backs up my point.

I did in fact look at the reviews when buying it, and most of them were good, it has 4/5 stars, and when I noticed that the reviews of the crashing happened, they only had like 2-3 reviews of this happening, out of like 150 reviews, so I ended up taking the chance, and it turns out that it ended up happening to me too.
If you go to buy an item and see one bad review out of 50, you're going to end up buying it, which proves my point. Please tell me that if you see 1 bad review out of 50, you won't buy it, because that's a lie.

But that doesn't sound right as you wrote this in your post

I know, I'm talking about the reviews on Amazon, and you would think after it got those reviews that they would have fixed the problem, but they continued to sell the laptops, probably knowing they could mess up. I don't get what you're saying, I looked at the reviews, noticed 3 bad reviews of crashing out of 147, and I bought it. Anything that anybody ever buys is going to have some form of a bad review of it by a person. Even food by Gordon Ramsay has had a bad review. Who knew that this would happen in a 1/49 chance, to me?
