Well, the 300 series are meant to be officially released today so I'd say it's worth waiting to see actual prices and benchmarks of the 390/390x. The 390 looks like it's going to be around 970 performance anyway for around the same price. What new Intel CPUs? Broadwell or Skylake? Broadwell CPUs are already available for pre-order in some places. Broadwell isn't a huge upgrade over Haswell refresh, but if you don't mind waiting and are going to wait a few days to see how the 300 series really perform, then you could wait for Broadwell. I've heard rumours of Skylake coming in the next month or two but it was meant to release nearer the end of this year. However, lots of Skylake motherboards are already finished(or almost finished) and ready for shipments. Then again, Broadwell has been delayed for a while, Skylake could very well be the same. I doubt Skylake will be a huge improvement over Haswell refresh CPUs in all honesty, but it will mean a switch to DDR4 if you go with a Skylake CPU, which still, DDR4 isn't a huge performance increase over DDR3 anyway so it's not worth upgrading for these reasons alone, but if you want to wait, that's up to you.

Fair enough. I mean, it's easier to buy everything at the same time but peripherlas, case, PSU etc, will be fine if you buy 'em a month or so before GPU/CPU, but if you're waiting, you'll need to hold off on RAM, mobo and CPU, in case Skylake is early and you go with Skylake and DDR4 RAM.

So, yeah, if you have to buy over the space of a month or two, leave the mobo, RAM, CPU and GPU until the very last and see what info we have closer to the time that you're ready to purchase. If Skylake still isn't close or we don't have more info or anything though, Haswell/Haswell refresh will still be more than fine.
