Please help I have my HP Pavilion g6 and when I turn it on it says Sorry your PC has ran into a problem and goes to a screen where the HP Symbol and says Automatic Update anf goes to a black screeb please help!

Sounds like the Windows 8 problem, it is very common and happened to me yesterday on a laptop i was selling. Just look online, YouTube has lots of solutions for this.

Search for - Sorry your PC has ran into a problem

press f8, a lot, on boot and go into safe mode then restore your laptop. I'm not sure what the option is on windows 8 but it's really self explanatory. There's a recovery option you go into and you'll see the restore option.
