AM3+ is dead. The build you were suggested first would probably be your best choice.

No, it's a dead socket. 8350=no upgrade path. It's a 3 year old CPU. The 4690k considerably out-performs it, and leaves you with more upgrade options. I have absolutely no idea why you'd go with an AMD CPU and SSD, but an NVidia GPU? Regardless, i5+970 is what you should be going with. Get an 850-EVO for the SSD, or BX100/MX100/MX200 from Crucial, or a Kingston Fury SSD.
