Looking for a free program that I can move 800 songs from my iPhone onto my desktop to reassure they are safe before jailbreaking.

You can use something called iFunBox to export music from the iDevice to the PC.

Ciniti is right iFunbox is your best bet i use it for modding games on my phone alot and getting pictures its easier to use than iTunes
