Fallout 4 is going to be one of the most hyped-up games of the year, with Bethesda taking us to the wasteland of Boston for its biggest open-world adventure yet some have suggested it is 3x the size of Skyrims open world map. Here is everything we learned about the game at this year's E3 and everything we know so far!

Pre Nuclear War (Before The World Becomes A Wasteland):
Fallout has always taken place after a global thermo-nuclear war decimates the world, turning it into an irradiated wasteland filled with ghouls, mutants and radscorpions. Fallout 4 will mix things up a bit by having players start the game on a bright sunny day before the bombs drop we you will be able to see a pre war wasteland and engage in normal activities until you are notified that a bomb will hit and is rushed to a vault where you stay for hundreds of years.

Characters:
Player characters in the Fallout series have been silent up to this point, but Bethesda is changing that for Fallout 4. Players will pick dialogue sounds that serve as a general tone for what the player character will say. Conversations will also be dynamic, meaning players can walk away or even pull a gun out and kill them mid-conversation. Players will create their unique character at the beginning of the game, in front of a mirror where you can almost change the character given to you completely, bethesda have also added to option to become a girl/women in this Fallout!

V.A.T.S and In-Game Shooting:
The "pause and target" gameplay feature seen in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas is returning in Fallout 4, allowing players to drastically slow down time and target specific body parts on enemies. If you want to adopt a more run-and-gun approach, the first-person gunplay of Fallout 4 looks to be a major improvement over its predecessors and acknowledges that people have different playing stlyes.

Crafting Is In Fallout:
Players can craft and decorate entire bases and pieces of land this includes building your very own house and towns with the required supplies found in the wasteland. Grab some power generators and you can even set up automated turrets to do your dirty work for you and defend against enemies. You can also establish multiple bases and start a trade empire between them.
Just be sure to build defences, as raiders will attempt to raid your strongholds. Personalising your own suit of Power Armour is a new addition as well making its way into Fallout 4. Like in previous entries, players can still craft new weapons and weapon modifications from various items found throughout the wasteland.

PC Mods Available on Xbox One:
Bethesda wants to make it easy for modders to work on PC in Fallout 4 as well as on the Xbox One. So within reason mods for Fallout 4 on PC will actually be able to be played on the Xbox one and unfortunately not on the PS4 allowing an even larger audience to customize game experience with user-created content.
While we learned a ton of new info, there's no doubt this is just the tip of the iceberg for a game the size of Fallout 4. Expect plenty more news in the months to come which I will post on this topic.
Fallout 4 launches on November 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
(This took me awhile so dropping a thanks would be appreciated)

I'm curious to know if they're gonna keep the fallout skill system where you get points every level or so or follow the skyrim level path. I hope not the old way was better imo.

More than likely they will keep the old skill system. It is a "sequal" to fallout 3, not fallout 4. This being said, I doubt they will take the level system of skyrim. They want to keep it as close to fallout 3 as possible in terms of gameplay.
