So, I don't see much talk on here about vinyl records, so I figured I'd see if any of you guys are also a fan of the "dead format".
Records obviously used to be HUGE before CDs and MP3s became popular, but have since made a comeback. There's been sort of a "record boom" going on in recent years. I only have 20-30 records or so, but I love them dearly and will keep expanding my collection as time goes on!
I just figured this topic could be a could place for vinyl / record talk.
I'd love to see some pictures of anyone's collection! If this catches on I'll definitely update the topic with my own collection.
So here's some of my stuff:
My Turnover records, AKA my pride and joy:

From top to bottom, then left to right:
Self Titled (hand numbered, as seen in picture below)
Turnover / Citizen - Split
Ivy League / Turnover / Maker / Such Gold - Split
Blue Dream
Magnolia
Peripheral Vision

Some Of My Other Records:
Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High
(super valuable/expensive now)
Citizen - Everybody Is Going to Heaven,
Transit - Young New England,
(both signed by bands)
Got both these records from the bands in person and had them sign it. Was an awesome experience, so these are very dear to me, especially since they are two of my favorite bands! (Not necessarily my favorite records from them, but still both great!)

Balance & Composure - Separation
Balance & Composure - The Things We Think We Are Missing (first record I ever bought)
The Story So Far - What You Don't See
The Story So Far - Self Titled
The Story So Far - Songs Of (my one and only 10")
Just another great band! They've consistently put out great punk (with a hint of pop) records. Love their softer, acoustic stuff too. This band can be pretty addicting.

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge
Real Friends - Maybe This Place Is the Same And We're Just Changing
Very heavily punk/pop/emo influenced. Definitely have their own vibe. I know a lot of people in the scene either love or hate this band. Their lyrics get bashed a lot too. Still just love shouting this album while I'm driving, haha. Threw this in here because I LOVE the color of this record!!!

Saosin - Self Titled
Just another awesome oldie! They were actually the first band I had ever heard that incorporated screaming into their music. That caused a drastic change in my music taste! Got into thing like Rage and My Chem, then I found metal/hardcore/post hardcore music. Still into quite a few hardcore bands, just not as many as I once was when I was younger. (This band is NOT hardcore lol)

Title Fight - Hyperview
Citizen - Young States
A$AP Rocky - Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye II
Tigers Jaw - Hum/Cool
(some random 7"s)
I can't tell you how many times I've listened to the Citizen 7"! It looks black but is transparent purple. The A$AP Rocky 7" was just cheap, and it's such a catchy song, I had to! And then the Tigers Jaw 7" is an interesting one because I'm REALLY NOT a fan of their music, but I think these two songs are just incredible!

Balance & Composure - Acoustic
The Story So Far / Stick To Your Guns - Split (super rare/expensive)
The B&C 7" was a No Sleep Subscription exclusive in 2012. The TSSF/STYG split is the most rare press (half beer / half clear with black splatter, 500 pressed). There were two other variants pressed, to make a total of 2000 pressed. Of the 2000 pressed, 300 copies have a hand-numbered alternate silk-screen cover, which I also have.

I'll be posting pictures and info on my setup soon, too.

You just opened a big can of worms... Vinyl records are awesome and IMO the only logical way to purchase music. Cds are on their way out due to MP3s, Itunes, etc.. CDs also have virtually no resell value, unlike vinyl, which often raises in value. MP3s and other digital music is fine if that's your preference, but to spend money on it seems stupid to me since you don't physically own anything (might as well just download it for free).
I love and listen to all types of music, but I mainly collect soundtracks. Theres many reason why I choose to, not going list everything now, but I will say that ontop of them being awesome to listen to they have some of the best art and packaging. I also have some Hip Hop, Classic Rock, and Electronica.
Here is a couple I'll share for now.
Hanz Zimmer - Inception
Fabio Frizzi - City Of The Living Dead
Morgan Ames - Silent Night Deadly Night
Daniel Mudford - Shaun of the Dead
Power Glove - Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Video Game Soundtrack

WOW! That Interstellar artwork looks incredible! Definitely jealous of those Shaun of the Dead and Inception soundtracks! Love the Silent Night Deadly Night half red / half green. Looks so tight for a Christmas-y record. I'll go take pictures of some of my favorites and post them up in a reply and in the original topic!

EDIT: Updated my original post with some of my records.
(Originally this post also contained the pictures of the records above but it was causing lag so I just removed it from here. You can see what was here up above in my original post)

I clicked on this forum to see if anyone had a similar taste in music as me and I found it fairly quickly
I mostly just thought it would be flooded with EDM/House music but then I found you!

valarstar wrote Love your collection @OP
Run for cover is one of my favorite labels, I like almost all of their artists.
This is my 2015 playlist

Thanks for the compliment on my collection! I actually have quite a few more records I didn't post just because of how time consuming it was, but maybe if more respond to this and like this, I'll add to it.
There has got to be more people other than me and Fabio_Frizz that have/collect/enjoy vinyl records!!!
GET IN HERE AND POST LOL
My Spotify is trying REALLY hard to load your link, but it just isn't working.
There is a lot of rap and EDM discussion in this forum, but there is the occasional rock/metal guy. To be honest I don't think I've seen any discussion about the music I have posted above. It's unfortunate!

Yeah I have a bunch of records, I'll go through tomorrow sometime and form a coherent list.
As far as the link is concerned here's a spotify link

(to use it just put it in the search bar in spotify)
