1) Is this worth buying?
2) Will it be easy to build?
3) If I want to buy a cool looking case, how would I know what cases to fit this?
4) About how long will this take?

2) watch a few videos on youtube so you have a rough idea of where parts go, Its not hard.
3) check which motherboards its compatible with matx, atx, itx etc
4) depends, takes me about 20 minutes to get all the parts in then 30 mins for windows to install. Its your first time your spare a couple hours.

I'd go with this build, it's better than what I came up with haha. It took me about 2 hours to build my first PC, and windows Install didn't take long around 20 minutes or so. Building a PC is really easy if you're worrying about it, things will only go in one way, there's usually indicators such as notches and spaces between certain things, so you can align the connectors correctly. Anything you need is probably on youtube, if not then google it.

Around $560 with promotional discounts, has an SSD and better GPU. The 860k is a good little chip, will handle gaming well, and has 4 cores so will even handle tasks that benefit more cores pretty well too. The i5 is better but the 860k is unbeatable for the price. This will handle gaming better since it has the better GPU though, and the SSD will be a huge benefit. Depends entirely what the system is for though, the i5 may make more sense, depending on what it'll be used for. The 860k has no upgrades at the moment without a motherboard upgrade, but there are more than likely more FM2+ chips to come.

It's very easy to build, most stuff is self explanatory but watching some tutorials will help. LinusTechTips has a few decent walkthroughs. If you want a "cool" looking case, you're going to have to spend more money. I'd suggest the NZXT S340 if you must. It takes me just under an hour(usually) to build a rig and get the OS installed. You'll need a little more time than that to go through driver installation, getting wallpapers set-up and programs installed, as well as your games and what not. All in, it should take a morning, or an afternoon.
