Hey guys,

I've been studying IT for the past year and briefly know C++ due to a staffing issue at college. I was wondering is there are other similar websites to 'CodeAcademy' or books* to learn the language as it doesn't teach C++ on there, preferably the closest alternative to 'CodeAcademy' in terms of "Try it yourself" sort of activities after learning.

*I have one C++ book which is the 'C++ Weekend Crash Course' by Stephen R. Davis and was planning to purchase his 'C++ For Dummies' book as I am certain programming is the way forward in life.

Could you guys recommend any good books or websites, preferably 'crash course' type books/websites?

Thank you

is a good reference.

You'll need to read up on C++11 stds and try out C++14 once you've read that.

I'm learning C++ myself right now, and I've found [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] extremely helpful.
