G3258 is ok as a placeholder, but wouldn't recommend as a long term chip either.
is the 260x better? I haven't actually read up on it... mint af dude.... and yeah I was just going with it bc of it's good speed and OC capabilities... I would upgrade to and i5 after a year or so or when ever I'd upgrade the GPU
you say about overclocking but suggested a B85 board, which doesn't support overclocking at all...
i've seen a few of your posts and not being mean, but I would advise reading up for a day or two because it's nice to see people helping, but giving out the wrong info when people are serious about spending a lot of money can be bad for the OP.. just saying.

Lmao. A10-7700k performs almost as well as a 750 anyway, and the 4 core CPU will be beneficial over the G3258 which won't even be able to launch some games. It doesn't matter how old he is, the GT 730 is still shit, and significantly out-performed by the A10 APU. As well as the fact that he could add something like an R7 260 in XFire with the APU for better performance, if need be.

Stop embarassing yourself. The 260x out-performs the GTX 750Ti. The GT 730 literally makes no sense to buy. Have fun. Stop posting useless shit that's going to confuse other users who actually need help.

The 730 is for multiple displays and basic htpc applications. it's not designed for gaming.
