Been debating if i should put the money into a gaming rig or get a ps4.. I've been looking into a pc because it benefits me more for school and all i did on my ps3 was watch netflix. Looking to only spend $500 considering i do want to play video games but just for the pleasure of gaming with other people, not graphics so should i invest into $500 into a ps4 or pc. Im leaning more towards pc but im wondering what all your opinions are?

if you are looking for fun i would go with ps4 as your not botherd about graphics etc because pc is higher price and some games you have to lower quality to play but pc is better but in your case i would go with ps4

It's all about personal preference. If you really like consoles, I'd go with the PS4. If you want to try something new or you like playing games on your current computer, whether it be a stock desktop or a laptop, I'd get a PC.
For the $400 price of the PS4, you could build a pretty decent computer. Like I said though, it's all about personal preference.

Depends what pc you end up getting, but it would be better to make your own pc, but the ps4 would still be cheaper its all just personal preference

I say just go PS4. I've had mine for a little over a year and I love it. PC's are better to game on because of the massive selection of Steam, but with a flat cost of $400 for a Ps4, you don't have to worry about hardware becoming out of date in like 3 years. You'll be able to play any game on it a lot longer rather than spending money on more parts for a PC.

Okay, listen to me. You will not buy a PS4.

Here is a very detailed guide of why you should choose PC.

Here is a gaming rig that will destroy the so called "next-gen" of consoles.

- Flat cost of $400? did you forget all the $60 games? With PC you have thetechgame.org very very cheap games.
- Hardware being outdated after 3 years on PC??? Wake up call, the PS4 is already outdated with their 720p and rare 1080p. PC gamers have moved up to 1440p at 144 frames a second or 4K displays. While PS4 is still locked at 30fps.
- PC parts last longer than console parts and are easy to replace. For example; i buy a $200 graphics card, it become outdated by a $300 graphics card. A company called EVGA would allow you to pay $100 to upgrade to the new graphics card.

Just depends, man. Want a console or a PC? With the PC you can do other things such as browse the internet, post on TTG, etc.
I mean you can do that with a console as well, just takes more time usually.
I say PS4!
