Most certainly is. I used this tool from Microsoft to give my PC the boot up the backside to download Windows 10. Just follow the instructions and you'll have it straight away.

No worries. You won't regret using Windows 10. I'm very impressed with it.

I had the preview program on my main machine for awhile and I liked it, but I sadly had to go back to 8.1. I am now waiting to be "notified" but you don't have to wait!

Steps:
first go [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] here.
Then make sure you have a bootable you can use, Unless you're just upgrading.
After you install the media tool run it.
You will be prompt with Language, Windows Version, and 32 bit and 64 bit. If you're not familar what version to pick go [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] it should tell you what one to download. And you should be all set!

Progress bar is going extremely slow for the download is this normal? still on 1%! I have a top spec pc with an internet speed of 160mbps also my computer had been bugging out recently and I had found a few virus reason I was going to clean install but I'm not going to now as there is waaay to much for me to have to go back and download after. Malwarebytes has since taken care of the viruses. Only started becoming slow as it was getting closer to the release date of win10 too.

Took the words out of my mouth. Most likely hundreds of thousands downloading at the moment. As good as the Microsoft servers are... it's got to be putting stress on download speeds.

My windows 10 is installing right now! Currently at 55% !

In my control panel it currently says

15% complete. Can't wait for it download
