I hate having my team mates talk repetitively when I'm trying to clutch the round by listening to footsteps. Is there a way to increase game sound and reduce chat volume a bit? I tried changing the receive option in steam but that didn't help at all.

Bindtoggle [InsertKey] Voice_Enable
The above code is a godsend, Especially during a clutch when your team wont shut the hell up.
Its also super useful in DM if you just wanna practice without listening to everybody shouting.

Another thing you can do if you want to lower voice volume, while still being able to hear people is using this in console.
voice_scale 0.5
Now you can change 0.(whatever you want) lower or higher. I would just jump into a DM game and put it on whatever you want, and see how it sounds when people talk, since that's where the mic spam is and adjust to your preference. I personally use 0.3 for voice volume since when you're last alive, people tend to all talk/yell at once which makes it harder to hear footsteps.

If you are teaming up with people instead of solo queuing a good thing to do is all go on teamspeak to talk since then you are still able to hear the footsteps and your friends can still talk all they want.
