I realize you're very proud of you getting a job and buying your own truck at such a young age, but i feel as if you explain that at least a few times a day.

It's not at all labor intensive. Tearing off shingles is labor intensive, re-graveling a driveway is labor intensive, digging a ditch is labor intensive, following a lawn mower and swinging around a weedeater is not. I've done a lot of lawn mowing and lawn maintinence and if you think that's labor intensive, you are in for a rough ride lol. I live in Washington where our heat is humid. Back in the beginning of July we where hitting 90+ temps, now add a 75-80% humidity level lol.

It's all work so it's all considered labor intensive. I'm not in for a "rough ride". I've been working for 10 years for family and I've now branched out on my own working for other employers. Working with my family I was getting under the table pay just being a laborer for them. As you said ripping shingles/reroofing etc etc. But I beg to differ on the cutting grass. Go instead of cutting people's yards to actual business places that are sitting on acres and acres and tell me if your not tired after that. The old place my family used to cut grass at took 4 hours to nicely finish everything. It was a Plant MGMT facility. That was a bitch to cut in the thick grass then you have the +100 heat.

Do labor for people like mowing lawns etc.. or do chores around your house for some money

It could be considered manual labor, but by no means labor intensive. One particular job may be considered labor intensive in the sense that it will take a lot of time to complete, but by no means is it an "intense" job. I used to cut grass for 8+ hours a day, and man I wish I could go back to those days lol. I live in a fairly rich community, most jobs took 30 mins to an hour to mow, weed whack, and rake. I had 3 developments that a lot of people hired me from, so I was usually out there for 3 days a week in just those places, then the other one off people. When I was doing that I was making 2-300/day because people would pay me 40 buck lol.

Again, it all depends on what you call intensive. I look at intensive as physically straining, but if you are just looking at the fact that it may take a while to complete the job, then yes, you could describe it as "intensive". People like me will still laugh when you say mowing lawns is labor intensive though.

Grass Cutting sounds so boring for you guys do none of you have ride on lawnmowers, aha i cut 2 acres of land ever 2 weeks (ish) for my nan, (free) on a ride on lawnmower that take no effort at all. if you have a grass cutting business and are pushing one of them little lawnmowers around then there is something wrong haah.

but at the end of the day a "Job is a job" and if someone is cutting grass and another person is "graveling a driveway or digging a ditch" then what difference does it make its a job that need to be done who cares.

OT: I Reckon for you at 13 is to either get a paper round or sell stuff online when i was 12-13 had my eBay account selling anything and everything making me money while i was at school, also a nice little way to make little extra on the side (online) is by doing surveys) but deffinatly reckomend selling on eBay etc.. (I would find things like poke-mon cards etc... look them up and realise there worth £20 and made loads of cash.

Get a job in a cafe potwashing. I'm 14 and that's what I'm doing ATM.
