I know what you mean, i am looking for a job and like no where will even get back to me and i have some experience and it all frustrates me. but if you want experience try volunteering at a soup kitchen and gaining experience and skills and then look for a jobs while doing that.

To me being 100k+ in debt to make another 5-10/hr isn't worth it. But then again, I will have a really nice job when I turn 18 if everything works out. My dad is getting us into his job, my brother went and he is 18 flying all over the US making 25/hr regular wages but a lot of it is over time.

Because companies want people with experience? Is it really too difficult to understand? Do work experience, be pro active, having a degree doesn't entitle you to a job; be the best.

I've just completed a 3 year course with just under a years experience in it, that still doesn't seem to help me get a job, but a job will pop up somewhere, just got to keep looking and never give up

Some jobs just need more qualification than others.

Absolutely incorect, I make a very good amount for the position I'm in, and live very comfortably on my own at 19.

A lot of people don't have these connections, which is why college/university is a much more ideal path to obtaining a high-paying job.

What do you mean by nowadays? I'm genuinely curious what you decided makes today any worse than the '50s or '60s or '70s or '80s or '90s or '00s.

You don't need college to be successful and get a job, just look at Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. They both dropped out of college and Bill Gates just happens to be one of the richest men in the world.
