Okay, Xbox live is not cheaper than ps plus(It all depends on where you buy it, you can get both on G2A for a pretty cheap price) For example amazon has xbox live for less than ps plus but at places like walmart and gamestop, ps plus is ten dollars less than xbox live. Saying that one companies servers are better than the others isn't necessarily correct, both companies servers go down. And you may like a smaller controller but someone else might like a bigger controller, it is just preference. But honestly you shouldn't switch like i said earlier.

If you play with real life friends on Xbox then stick with Xbox,however if your friends are from online then yeah I'd say get a playstation the community is friendly and welcomes new people
