I am about to make a new build that will be for:
-A lot of Gaming
-Some Photoshop
-schoolwork
-streaming games
-little multitasking

Would a 6700k be good enough for these needs? or should i hop on the x99 train and go with a 5820k or something else?

What are your thoughts, and budget on this build isn't an issue so i could easily afford either one!

Thanks for help in advance!

heck 1150 will be fine for what you want, X99 and Z170 wouldn't be beneficial for your needs as the extra money could be used for a better GPU to make gaming more pleasant.

yeah I would definitely agree with that^^^^^
that's just money wasted if you buy a higher end cpu for just mostly gaming.

I would stick with the 5th generation series of intel chips and get a Z97 board. This would be more beneficial to you as you are paying a premium for the new Z170 and you are paying more for the overkill performance of X99 which you do not need.
