Your BIOS will be a little different as you don't have an MSI Gaming series motherboard. Updating the BIOS might not improve anything, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. Clean your CPU and your cooler, re-apply thermal paste carefully, and properly. That should do the job.

You should be sitting at around 35-40*c idle with the stock cooler on that 860k. I'm pretty sure TJ Max for the 860k is around 75*c, or so. I've read that the max temperature for the 860k, before it shuts itself off, is 72.4*c, but I've heard of guys running their 860k's above 80*c during stress tests and having no issues at all.

in other programs like Speccy and Core Temp it says 90 Degrees /???

Pull the voltage back to around 1.3v. You're going to have to mess around with clock speeds and voltage, and stress test until you get a comfortable temperature and are stable. It doesn't look like the temperature is doing anything though, since your CPU is still only sitting at 10% load.


Again, as I've said, update your BIOS. Check what temperature your BIOS is giving you for your CPU before you start messing with clock speeds and voltages. It could potentially be that your temperature sensor is pumped.

in the BIOS my temp is around 37 Degrees celcius so thats where i was confused

not gonna lie yesterday i dropped the cpu on the floor but managed to straighten the CPU Pins

well, lets say you get the ram straightened and the cpu temps, your cpu is still super low end and will kill your frames in demanding games.

Run any new game, and screenshot the HWmonitor while you're gaming. We want to see what your computer looks like when it's under load.

Make sure to screencap your CPU usage/utilization, and your GPU/ usage/utilization.
