My microphone works fine on windows 8 but when i upgraded to windows 10 it just stopped working... anyone know why this could be, I am using beats solo HD if that helps.

uninstall the drivers and redownload them i never had any issues with windows 10 games or mic issues that is

I had the same problem. ( This happened awhile ago so my memory is a little foggy )

Turns out, Windows 10 treats the front panel audio and rear jacks as seperate devices. I had to set the rear jacks as the primary recording device to get it to work.
