You would find us British a lot more welcoming if the majority of these people were women and children.

When this crisis started the rebels were given lots of weapons and equipment to fight Assad with !..(supplied by America Britain and France and many others)

Out of all the people that are flooding into Europe only about 30% of them actually come from Syria the rest come from Pakistan / Iran / Iraq / Afghanistan / and Africa !..All economic migrants .

I knew about all that already. The rebels were funded/armed by western governments before they became ISIS, and I knew that these groups have used chemical weapons, but I'm sure both sides have used the on each other and civilians as well.

But the refugees can't fight against the superior weapons of the Assad regime, ISIS and the jet fighters that bomb the country as well. If they did find the weapons the refugees would essentially become another rebel group amongst many, depending on who they were fighting against

Uh.. you realize children can be female too? Half are women and 41% are children.
That means that most of those 41% of children are female. That doesn't mean that 9% are men. It means that half are men, and some of those men are also children.

You said that we wouldn't leave our women and children in war zones. So you're going to demonstrate how much you care about women and children by sending half and 41% of these refugees back to war zones?
You're saying that if 9% more were children and 1% more were women you would accept them all?
You are sending these women and children to famine and death over 9 and 1% to prove a point?

That means that you are saying we should turn away 15 million people, 6 million of whom are children, because only 7.5 million of them are women and that number needs to be 150,000 higher before we consider it.
That's what 1% of 15 million is. You are turning away 15 million over a 150,000 person difference.

I could bring up so many examples of the brilliant British spirit and love for women and children in war when we burnt innocent people's farms down in South Africa and raped our way across europe during WW2, but putting that aside, this is horrible logic.

You are saying that we should turn away these refugees, 7.5 million of whom are women, and 6 million of whom are children, and send them back to war zones because of the men from these countries fleeing. We should condemn the women and children to death, sex slavery, and famine to prove a point that we wouldn't do the same?

Why are people acting like just because men are fit to fight, they should stay and fight?

Why can't refugees be fit and strong?

They deserve safety as much as anyone else.
