I really feel like pcpartpicker low balls on wattage and newegg's wattage calculator says it needs a little over 750 watts. Is 750 enough or is newegg right that it needs more? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I would trust Newegg over pcpartpicker. If Newegg says a little over 750 I would probably get a 800w psu.

750W is more than enough. 650w max that rig will pull. More in the range of 600w

But my god is that rig terrible. Hope you don't plan on using it!

750W would be more than enough for 2x 980's in SLI. A good quality 450W unit would be more than enough for that rig. It's a god awful rig though, for so many reasons.

That build will never max over 600w under heavy load. 750w is more than enough power for it as others have already said.

9 times out of 10 he knows what he is talking about. Your ignorance really showed on that comment.

It is a fairly bad build. Cooler is bad, 980 is a waste of money, PSU is not needed 1000w is very big and not needed, cheap keyboard and mouse in a $2000 build? No. Case fans and case are meh.
