Subjective, I really like music from today, music from 90s, music from the 1800's.

Have any of you had a think about this? The music industry is a business, and the big name stars that get the most attention (Bieber, Miley, Nicki etc) all use sexualisation and easy to repeat lyrics with a simple backtone cause they're easy on the ears, easy to remember and sell.

Isn't a multi billion pound industry because they only cater to people who like the good ol' stuff.

(Incase anyone tries having a dig, my favourite artists are Ludwig VB, All of BBK, K+K, Jackmaster, Hannah Wants, Kendrick.)

Exactly not about the music

Yeah this annoys me, a lot. Most songs in the charts with the most views have awful lyrics with no meaning. Then you have other lesser known artists who create great music with interesting, clever lyrics; yet they are lucky to scrape more than 100 thousand views on YouTube.

Personally I think that some of the current music is catchy, but a lot of the lyrics are soo trash. Really to me I like to listen to music for the beat and the instrumentals, the lyrics are just an afterthought.

Catchy songs sell. It's been like that for a long time. People who listen to those types of songs most likely ignore the lyrics anyway.

Also, to argue against your rant, all songs don't need to have a message in order to enjoy it IMO.

But sex?

You can't handle and or stop it.
