Now i know you need the previous dlcs to play taken king but my friend let me get them from his account and i set his xbox to my home but will i still be able to get it even through it says unavilible for the download

If you were able to download the other dlc's and ttk when it comes out then yes.

you can only buy TTK with the other DLC as a bundle so if your thinking about buying just TTK you cant.
