Too much goes into it bud. How old are you? How high is the trim level of the vehicle? What is your driving record? How far do you estimate you will be driving each day? How much insurance do you want?
Call up an insurance company and get a quote, it's free. You might also be able to do it online.

If you live in the ghetto UK like me, you will find that insurance is more expensive here than elsewhere. There is simply too much to take into account to give you an accurate price. You will just have to get a quote on your chosen car and add it towards the cost of the car then, you have your answer.

UK doesn't have a "ghetto"

you would be surprised.. there are places that you would never want to step foot in else you will simply be stabbed, some proper rough parts in Scotland too...
Anyway OP, the insurance will be more than than the value of the car, a corsa is in a higher insurance group so that is something to take into account. Also your postcode will affect insurance and so many other factors.

I wasn't necessarily talkinabout getting stabbed, but car theft and damage is more common here than some other places.

The fact that you're from the UK and just typed "Merica" makes me want to die.
I do know how bad it can be and for sure is not bad in comparison to the US.
