Ever since windows 10, my microphone on my computer has been super unsensitive. In the recording devices tab, I have to knock on my computer pretty solidly for the mic to pick up a good amount of it. Or practically scream for it to pick up. Is there a hidden booster that I'm missing??

Try typing in "Sound" in the search by the start menu, go to the Recording tab, click on your active mic, then hit properties, then go to the Levels tab. Try messing around with that slider.

You could use Realtek Audio Manager and use Mic Boost.

+10.0dB should work fine.
