How can i transfer photos from my phone to my pc? Can i just connect my phone and transfer that way or is there a program i have to install?

You should be able to just transfer, no external program. I do all the time with my windows 8.1 laptop and iPhone 6

I remember transferring photos from my GS3, so I'd assume it would be fairly easy.

connect it and open the folder..highlight drag
