Just been looking at some of the rumors for the new phones from both companies and was wondering if anyone was planning on getting either the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the LG G5.

These without a doubt will be the best on the market. Personally going to upgrade my LG G3 to the G5. What about you guys?

LG G5 Rumored Specs

After the G4, the LG G5 will surely be an improved version. It will have the new and more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, according to GforGames. The processor will be an octa-core one and it will be coupled with 4GBs of RAM.

For the display, it will sport a 5.5-inch QHD display with 2560 x 1440 in pixel resolution. There are also rumors that it could sport a 4K resolution, which will surely beat other displays off the market.

The rumored snapper is a 20 MP Sony Camera with included image stabilization and laser auto-focus. Also, it will still have expandable storage support for microSD cards.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumored Specs

Following the footsteps of the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S7 will also rival other flagships. It will also have the same 8-core Snapdragon 820 processor, according to Gotta be Mobile. The base model will have 4GB of RAM.

Compared to the LG G5, the Galaxy S7 will sport a smaller 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display. The Galaxy S7 Plus is rumored to sport a 5.8-inch 4K display and 6GB of RAM.

Samsung is also reportedly installing a 20 MP camera as well, however it's an ISOCELL one with optical image stabilization. microSD card support will be brought back as well.

The Galaxy S7 might arrive earlier than the LG G5. Rumors suggest that it will arrive two months earlier than planned, according to TechnoBuffalo.

Both phones will support Quick Charge 3.0 Technology from the Snapdragon 820 SoC. They will also run the much-anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow version out of the box.

Samsung might have won this round as the Galaxy S7 is rumored to have an improved fingerprint scanner. Also, the Galaxy S7 Plus variant is more powerful with the larger ram and 4K display.

LG G5 and the Galaxy S7 will keep fans excited. Both have a release date for next year.

Probably not. I've had my G4 for a few months now and Im in love with it. I dont feel it needs the extra 2 cores but could always do with more ram. [My chrome tabs skills are high]
Not enough of a difference in specs to make me upgrade.

Il have another look in a couple of years

Same with all phones, they dont have enough power to drive a good set of headphones. Granted, its a bit poor but I can see why the price is so cheap now. Its fine for in ear headphones but over / on ear which need the extra oomph struggles a bit.

Pretty sure the Sony Xperia has a good amp, I know my HTC M7 has a good one it's even better on the M8 model.
