Musk wrote They actually should ban weapons.
You can't make that kind of statement to Americans.
Firearms are a part of there culture and they will be the first to tell you that guns don't kill people "people kill people".
A guy walks into a church and kills a bunch of people which was a terrible thing to happen but it's ok because America has actually prevented it from happening again "They banned a flag".
Unless this kind of attitude dramatically changes ,America will sadly be burying a lot more of it's own children.
Now I have been to America many times and I can understand their love affair with guns but gun control in America is pretty pathetic ,You only have to go to one of the big gun shows to see how easy it is to buy many types of guns with nothing but the money in your pocket.
There is no easy solution to this problem.

USN wrote0-60 wrote This is why guns should be banned in the US, as i say time and time again. But you'll never learn, and before someone says "we have them for defense"... please just don't.
Just please shut up, gun related deaths are only a mere fraction of deaths in the US. People like you always see things like this as a way of promoting your own agenda, like you said "I say time and time again". You're sad man.
Rest in peace to these college people, prayers go to their families. People are crazy
I hardly ever comment on shit like this but...
please, Using this to push an agenda? A gun was used to kill multiple people, shootings are the only reason you'd discuss gun control.
That is such a stupid comment.
Guns are stupid and should be banned the UK had a mass shooting in 1996 there's been one Mass Shooting since.
How many shooting's has there been in america this year alone?
Guns don't kill people, People with guns kill people so stop giving people guns.
R.I.P to all that lost their lives. I can't imagine how their families are feeling.

No a lot of the sellers at the gun show in Houston Texas were happy to sell to me (A UK citizen) with no background check.

Beowulf wroteThere's a problem with this story. He was legally allowed to sell you whatever it was as long as you are a citizen of the state of which you bought it in, he is also allowed to deny selling it to you if he sees you're not fit to own a gun. Assuming that you have a British accent (You're from the UK so probably) he was **** up by not digging further. He is technically breaking the law by selling to you. Last month I think 12 states cleared this problem up completely to where even private sellers need to give a back ground check.F4VRE wroteBeowulf wrote*and a thorough background check.Musk wrote They actually should ban weapons.

Honestly that can only happen in "Merica", but it is ok. Those things happen almost on a weekly base there. Gun laws will never be strict there, but hey in a week it's already forgotten.
Here in Germany, we had a school shooting a couple of years ago. The gun law got restricted and guess what, no more school shootings and rarely shootings in general.

For gods sake, put aside your libertarian values and listen to your president. Or is 295 mass shootings (3 or more victims) since January 1 2015 not enough?
Clearly your "if a criminal wants to get a gun, they will" logic is flawed considering the statistics on mass shootings in countries that have strict gun laws.

Well said, same in the UK as i said:#
Our gun laws in the UK were strict from Dunblane and since that we've never had a school shooting. Now you guys have had 74! in the past 3 years! does that not tell you something?

Please name a country which has banned guns, has a huge gang problem, borders a country constantly embroiled in gang warfare, where the mass shooting and murder rate with guns is low.
You can't compare America to other countries because there is not another country like America, in its position with its problems.
And most mass shootings in America take place in areas where guns are banned.
