That's my current rig. I was running SLI 970s but only needed one, so sold my 2nd.
I've decided it's finally time to upgrade. Obviously I need to get myself a mech keyboard, going with a K70 or Das Keyboard Model S(might get both). Shitty Samsung 1080p panel has to go, will be replaced with a Dell U2515H and all 3 monitors will go on a VESA mount. I'll be replacing my GPU. I'm either just going to replace it with a 390 if I want to save money. I should have enough for a 980Ti. If not, I'll almost have enough for a 980Ti so might grab a Fury or wait until I have enough for a 980Ti. Haven't really decided on GPU set-up yet. I'll be swapping my 750G2 for an 850G2 if possible as well, for SLI/XFire support regardless of what GPU I upgrade to. Considering getting rid of my H440 and getting an Enthoo Evolv ATX instead but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Will probably add a 2nd 850-EVO. I'll also be upgrading to Skylake.

Might get a 6600k instead of a 6700k if I'm strapped for cash. Thoughts/opinions?
I do need a little help, on audio. Looking to spend £150-£200 on speakers(Z506 are shit), and looking to spend £250-£350 on headphones and a mic. Looking for a decent headphone/mic set-up, can spend more on an AMP/DAC if it's going to be worth it. Not too knowledgeable on this subject myself, but my audio is lacking in comparison to my rig so I need to step up my game.

Personally I wouldn't change to a 390 from a 970 as it's a minimal difference imo. I'd deffo go for a 980ti instead.
I'm generally curious as why you would buy a new rig (pretty much) for the sake of it being new? skylake isn't as impressive as it seems.
For a keyboard if quality is your top priority Filco are very good same with ducky. /r/mechanicalkeyboards is a very good resource.
Speakers are not my forte but I've been into headphones for a while.
AKG 702's are nice they're open back design but they're fairly reference.
DT990's are my personal pair they're also open design with loads of upper base and quite a lot of treble (Some people don't like it)
HD600 & HD650s are also both decent choices.
Fiio E10K
schiit fulla
Are two decent AMP/Dac's I'd suggest but get headphones first you don't always need one.

Your heads all over the place for hardware. Im sure you know best for that.
About speakers, personally, I'd get [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] They come with a built in Amp so extra power isnt needed in terms of Dac's and amp's.
I will however +1 for an amp for headphones. I have the Fiio A3 for my out and about headphones mainly but I do hook them up to the PC headphones [Hyper x cloud] and it makes such a big difference in terms of loudness.

Definitely getting rid of the 970, too many issues recently and I don't care about NVidia exclusive stuff really. I'm definitely going to try and get a Fury or 980Ti, I'll only be buying a 390 if I'm really strapped for cash when I'm buying a new GPU. Upgraded might take a lil while though, got to sell my current CPU, GPU, RAM and mobo first.
I was going to wait and upgrade to Zen/Cannonlake and a GPU with HBM2 but I should be able to get some good deals on stuff if I sell some of my current hardware, only reason I'm doing this. I really like the Enthoo EVOLV ATX and my H440 is pretty poor for airflow in comparison. I might hold on to the H440 though, not 100% sure yet, just depends how much cash I can get really.
As for the keyboard, I've used the K70 and liked it, but have heard a lot of good things about the Model S. I would like to get my hands on a few different kb's, will probably go with the K70 and buy a few different keyboards later on to test out, keep what I like and sell what I don't. Would be nice to get some hands on experience with different kb's.
I definitely need to get myself a headphone/mic set-up, whatever you suggest I'll take a look at as your audio suggestions always seem to be fairly on point(Alexyy).
I can use my Z506 for now anyway but I definitely want to replace them as they're pretty shit. I want to spend a max of £150 on speakers but can spend up to £250 if it's worth it, so if anyone's got a few recommendations that'd be handy af.
Note- As long as I can sell some stuff for £550, I should be able to get all these upgrades, just means I'll be without a system for a lil bit lmao

If it was me, i don't see a need to upgrade at all.
'Upgrading' from a 970 to a 390 is completely ridiculous IMO, it's an upgrade yes, but not a very valid one. DX12 meh, whatever. few FPS here and there is meh. Just stick with the 970 if you wanna save some money.
So i can't really advise on the hardware upgrade side.
For Audio I'd deffo grab the 502's Chang linked above, the 402 have been on my wish list for a while now and those shake desks.
But yeah you do need to get rid of that Logitech set as they have aids all over it.

If you're strapped for cash; don't bother changing GPU at all, simples.

I'm selling the 970 anyway because I've had too many issues with it recently. If I manage to sell my current CPU, mobo, RAM and GPU, I should be able to upgrade to a 6700k and 390 for ~£100. I should be able to grab a Fury or 980Ti though. After that, I should have £750-£1000 for peripherals, so I'm getting the K70(maybe a Model S), U2515H, speakers and headphones/mic set-up.

Fair enough, but I would much rather save/go straight to a 980 Ti as I have had many issues with my 390 and the difference between the 970 and 390 is literally a matter of FPS.

I'd personally keep (or sell, as you mentioned) the 970 and save up (or get) a Fury or 980ti. No point in getting a 390 as FPS difference is minimal.
For keyboard, I'd go with the K70. Im planning on getting one myself.
I dont know much about speakers or audio so im not going to try and embarrass myself.

You could do this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Which would involve keeping your current system (and wait for zen/cannonlake). But with a new PSU/KB/MON/GPU/SPEAKERS and case. You could do a custom loop for your i7 and/or GPU.
Or you could sell your system and build a skylake system (with a custom loop?!).
