If i had the option to root my phone I would. I enjoy being able to run custom roms, and get rid of all the bloatware that is preloaded.
What carrier do you have, as there is usually a different phone for each carrier.

Anyime I have any device running Android that's nearly the first thing I always do is root it! It opens your phone up to so many different things, take for example my Amazon fire phone. It out the box was running Fire OS (A shi**y amazon version of android.) After finding a program that could actually root it, it now has nothing related to amazon on it, I have google play store, it looks like a phone running android! I would recommend trying the app "Kingroot" and see if that will do the trick.

A lot of the time there are one click roots, where you just download the program and hit one button to root the phone. There are a few phones out there that require a lot more work, I remember one of my friends having to jump pins on the battery to get a full root.
Found this site, don't know if it's legit or not if you want to read up on rooting your phone. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
