Linking into the network switch mentioned above.

This gets rid of a stupidly long cable as it uses your home electric circuit as the network. Causing less loss.

It will also give you full wifi in the room for the devices you dont want hardwired like tablets and smartphones.

get the extended with ethernet i use it its more reliable etc i have tp link or my BT home hub extension

I just have 1 long Ethernet cable run to my room:

I then connect it into the back of this:

and then 2 more short Ethernet cables to connect to my PC and Xbox:

That works perfectly fine for me.

I'm in the same boat.
I use cables for my xbox, roku and PC but my phones and tablets can't get internet 15 feet away so annoying. Not sure which extender to get either, seen a bunch at walmart though so time to research.

- I have the same issue. Instead I ran a 50 ft. Cable through my house.

i love having wired connections it really is a big difference than wireless. so i'd go with an ethernet cable.

Okay thanks man! I will probably do this. I have 100\100 internet but only get 70/70 ish in my room maybe less
