Hello and welcome.
I live in in Indiana and I have some questions if anyone can answer.
Ok so... I live in a small town and dont get very good internet here. My down is 0.2mbps and up is 0.1mbps. My ping is usually 200ms but has been spiking to 700 constantly.
I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to get a better internet speed in locations like mine. Im just very stressed out and dont know what to do.
I like to play CS:GO and GMod but I just cant have much fun.

What city do you live in and what options are there for internet providers?

I would recommend calling a major ISP or one that is specifically made for rural areas. Tell them about your problem and they should be able to help you. There are many more internet packages available than all those on their website, you just have to be willing to pay the right amount of money!

Not exactly. I live in KY right below Indiana and im forced to only have Windstream and they suck, no one else offers out in the middle of nowhere. I pay way to much for what little I get and I dont even get it.
OP I hate to say it but if there is not any other ISP in your area you just have to deal with it

Well, I live in Wheatfield IN. The internet providers are - Verizon (Which is my provider but I have a really old plan because it is unlimited data) and satellite internet. My friends that live just maybe 10 min away get good internet and I just cant understand why I cant. This is what my speed test says but I can assure you that this is not what I get when I play CS = [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If you can get Verizon out there then call them and tell them you need a better plan! Also, try getting a better router/modem. That will help a lot.

I do have a router but it seems to make the slightest difference.

Either update your plan with Verizon or get the satellite internet.
I had satellite once and it wasn't too bad.
Otherwise, you're stuck. I feel your pain.
I had AT&T for 2 years.

Yeah i got to test the satalite internet and it had 9mb down and decent up. The only problem was 1. it wasnt unlimited and 2. 900 ping constant no drop......
Maybe the answer to my question is just to deal with it.
