Okay so I'm 17, my parents are out of town for the weekend and it's only me, my brother and my Dog in the house. Long story short, I dropped my phone and it landed on the corner of a plug socket.
I know I am going to need to tell my parents eventually but how much do you think it will cost? And when I say I've broke my phone I mean it's royally ****. It has internal cracks and the touchscreen is unusable.
The phone is a Sony Xperia z3 Compact.

I dont know the cost but blame it on the dog. say that it grabbed the phone and ran into a wall.

or you could say that your brother put it into his sock to see how it felt when he stepped on it.

Not sure on the cost, but take it to a phone shop, probably around £45 or $45. Just tell them the truth, hope it goes well buddy!

I dropped my phone into the shamoo tank at sea world. My uncle works there so I got close up and was trying to take a picture and R.I.P Iphone 6 plus... But I had the protection plan so it was not that much to get a new one.

What if the whale dies now... It might eat the phone!

Wow! That's unlucky that you lost a 6 Plus but good you have a protection plan. I'd cry if it happened to me!

Just call a phone shop (ironic, right?) and ask them how much it will cost to replace a screen for your phone.
