So i recently built my gaming PC and I had to RMA my mobo 1 week after I got it, I got it back and put it together and when Im playing games my CPU temps will get to around 85 degrees C. I use the stock cooler and everything before I RMA'd it was working fine, (temps were perfect). Now since I got it it's been high CPU temps so do I need to get an aftermarket cooler, thermal paste since my i5-4440 was sitting around in the container and the thermal paste went bad?

Also my case came with one fan, do I need to get at least one more?

Can anyone link me the good stuff that I should get if so? Thanks

Am I still able to play games till my stuff gets here with that high of temps or what?

How did you apply the thermal paste to the CPU you currently have?

It'd help if we knew your specs, including case and PSU. You might just want to get a cheap aftermarket cooler, replace the thermal paste and add a fan or two.

If your mobo had funky old paste on it when you put your CPU in, and you didn't reapply paste, then yeah it's probably that. Your CPU will be fine until it hits 100/105*c so you should be fine, I'd personally leave it until I could fix the issue though.

I'd suggest grabbing one of these coolers when you can;

and pick up 3 of these fans;

2 for intake in the front of your case and one in the rear for exhaust.

Ok yeah I just got off, it's supposed to arrive Saturday and I was looking, will them coolers work the way the fan sticks out? cuz won't the RAM be in the way or not?

Also on the case I have, there isn't an air opening like below the power buttons but there is 2 on top, stock one in the back, then there is one like on the side?

Also for cleaning off paste do I use a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol?

You shouldn't have any issues with RAM, might want to double check your measurements in case though. Use isopropyl alcohol and coffee filters or something similar to clean off thermal paste. Make sure you re-apply the paste properly.

what?
You mean fan mounting? The Source 210 should have 2x120mm in the top, 2x120mm in the front, 1x120mm in the rear and I thin 1x120mm on the bottom. I think you may even be able to use 2x140mm fans in the front so you could grab 2x140mm Pure Wings 2 for $8.50 each, use 'em in the front as intake and 1x120mm Pure Wings 2 in the rear as exhaust.

Yes my bad you can in the front, but the metal casing is in front and you have to take it off, but theres wires connected to and if you put it back on, there is no way air can get in? Right?
