so its been my dream since i was like 10 to become a games designer but ive been told by tons of people that its a bad job, you'll hate it and you'll wont make it. now am having doubts. am in my 1st year of game design in college

Don't listen to them lol if u want to do something then u do it don't listen to what people think I mean look at all the game designers in the world they are having fun they are making money. Everyone is different people like different stuff

If you wanna do it, then do it.
Personally, I wouldn't go into game development because there really isn't a demand for game devs. A degree doesn't guarantee you a job. High demand = Employment.

As said, if you enjoy doing it keep going, if you always wanted to be one then go be one and if your happy thats all that matters.

Like everyone said, if you truly love what you do then continue it as a career. Dont let what other people say get to you. But also know that you have time to always switch to do something else if that's what you want.

If it's what you want to do, go for it. Keep in mind how many people are looking to do the same thing though. A lot of people want to be a game developer / tester, so there is more people than jobs for this position.
