For what purpose exactly? Are you purchasing a laptop for mobile gaming, mobile school work, or just to be fancy.
For school I would have to recommend a Chromebook to be honest. ChromeOS is nice and fits the needs of a Highschool/Freshman college students. Also Chromebooks are cheap compared to the price of a Mac book.
For Windows laptops... they are iffy for me. I never cared for windows laptops as the ones that are "cheap" suck and the ones that are mid range have issues. I always prefer a desktop as my main work computer (Programming, editing, gaming, etc) and a ChromeOS laptop for mobile school work.
