Hi. I'm wanting to build a PC, that I will mostly use for like playing minecraft, cs go, editing on after effects, graphic designing and producing music (maybe). My friends are really pushing me to get a steam account to play most games. I don't need anything extra just the PC itself. I was looking at this PC here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and I don't know if this would be good or not? Budget: $800 - $1,000 :listen:

Bit over but worth it IMO
i7 for hyper-threading which will help when editing, rendering and producing music, R4 because foam padding to make it nice and quiet (before anyone says oooh Define S doe, this costs $10 more for silence and has drive bays, because it is unlikely OP would want a full on custom loop, but even then there is still space one in the R4) Z97 for SLI if you ever wanted to along with a beefy enough PSU to do so.

What I would get [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Xeon which will help for rendering etc, SSD for long loading programs like After Effects. The 970 will help with recording/rendering/streaming if you decide to stream with minimal fps loss. Can add another 970 in SLI if needed, stock cooler will do fine for now.

4790 makes no sense, just get a Xeon if you're going Haswell.

Skylake, with XFire support;
