Should I upgrade my current late 2012 or just save up for a gaming desktop? I figured for the money I would spend on upgrading my current laptop, I could put into a new gaming desktop, plus christmas is coming up and I work so I could possibly get one in the near future. Depending on your current machine you could upgrade but if it's low-end then you may as well just save up for a better rig if budget isn't an issue!

Save up for a good desktop. At the end it will last you longer without the need of being upgraded

a desktop for sure

much cheaper and better to upgrade in long run
plus last much longer

can get a solid 3+ years from 1100 dollar us build without even having to think about upgrade

and then a 400 dollar upgrade would be all you would need
