Skylake 6600k and H5 to do some OCing, 390>970>380>960.

Skylake 6500, No OCing, 390>970, would add an SSD asap, could also pick up a Cryorig H7 to keep temps low.

390 is better than the 970.

The build I suggested is better.

380x is the perfect card for $800 IMO. Add a nicer aftermarket cooler at some point and you'll be sorted. If you can spend an extra $40, you can get the Enthoo Pro M and a nice ATX mobo, #aesthetics. You could get a 120GB SSD instead, to do that, if you wish;

An extra $5 would get you the 120GB 850-EVO
