I'm changing a few parts to my desktop & i'm new to the whole upgrading and pc building scene & just would love some help on the best budget gear I can get for gaming.
I want to upgrade my CPU, GPU & Ram for my computer without upgrading my motherboard since I do not have enough for it. I mainly edit on AE CC 2014 & game on the desktop.
Current Specs
Motherboard: ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 2400 FM2 Motherboard A78M-A
CPU: AMD A4-7300 APU Dual Core Radeon CPU Processor
GPU: ASUS GT740-2GD3-CSM - Geforce GT 740 2GB DDR3
Ram: 1x8 Transcend DDR3L 1600 ECC-DIMM 8GB
Upgrades
CPU: MD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition CPU Quad Core FM2+ 3700Mhz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB SC+ GAMING
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz
If I upgrade to those parts, I need to know if those components will fit onto the motherboard and also make my computer run faster & better while gaming & editing.

Depends what your budget is. You may be over paying for that, but those are decent upgrades, yes. I'd personally add another 8GB RAM, instead of swapping it out for smaller RAM sticks?

So it'd be better for me instead of buying the 2x4gb ram, I should just buy another 1x8gb ram stick of the same model. I don't really have a specific budget, I'm just mainly looking for the best budget CPU & GPU I can get for my mobo model.

Yeah, another 8GB stick will cost the same anyway, as replacing your current stick with 2x4GB sticks. 860k is a great little chip for the price, best you can do with that mobo so yeah, that'd be fine. GTX 950 is a nice little card, just make sure you're not over paying for it. If you can spend a bit more for an R9 380, or 380x, that'd be nice, as they're both a good bit better than the 950 and not too much more expensive. 950 is great for it's lower cost though. Also, NVidia should be releasing a 960Ti soon, you might want to keep your eyes peeled for that?
