Continuous wrote What is that point? JUST BAN GUNS? It is easier said than done.

Can you not read, or do you just refuse to do so? How about looking at what I said again, and seriously thinking about it. Not once did I say "OMG JUST BAN GUNS LEL".

LOL, i cant read. But you said to make guns harder to get to stop "idiots" from getting them, but this user made a good point....

Also just because their is less guns does not mean that their would be less crimes. In fact their could be more because the law abiding citizens who legally own their guns for protection would "give up their guns", thus making it easier for criminals to commit crimes. For example the way the US is right now, criminals are always taking chances because they don't know if the person that they rob or go to kill will have a gun to protect them self, but if the goverment took the law abiding citizens guns then the robbers would have less to worry about, thus "motivating" them.

Their would be less gun related crime.

No, petty thieves wouldn't feel the need to arm themselves with guns since they're not going to get shot in the street for trying to steal a purse. Guns are legal in the UK, if you have a license, it's just hard to get. No one is saying to take your guns away, just to make them harder to get and less common. This excuse that taking gun away would cause more violence, is just incorrect.

Im from the US and at the age of 19 I bought the civilian version of the AK-47. I bought it in the back of a hard wood flooring store and it took maybe 15mins to do. Now 21 and owning a few pistols that only took 10-15mins to purchase and walk out with I think there is a lack of gun control in the US. Now I dont think the answer is taking away all guns. But I do think the process of getting one needs to be a lot more strict than what it currently is. I have my lisense to carry a pistol which again was very easy to obtain. Hell it is even legal for me to walk down, the street with my AK-47 strapped to my back (not kidding). I do believe it should be harder for someone to obtain firearms legally in the US.
Sorry for any spelling errors typed this on my phone.

Guns legal or not, people still will get them. There's a lot of guns here and always will be. If you can't get a gun, you take a knife.

Can you please link me one person that says the UK is perfect? I mean it's just gone to war with Islamic state dropping air strikes that cost 500k when there's people that work can still barely afford to eat. I don't think anyone thinks the UK is perfect, I just think you want to believe the United States is better than the UK. Which, let's be completely honest in terms of crime and mass shootings/ mass murders it's not.

Anyway, why did you bring this up? We should be trying to stop these attacks, arguing about which country is better will not decrease the fact that this stuff is happening, we should be working together, not fighting.

Never said someone said they were perfect...

And just take a look at some of the half ass replies to this topic.
