I guess this is more of a rant on hypocrites? But people who think they are being clever by using the "well its natural" argument.. I hope this doesnt get taken down and I hope people are mature enough to not flame. Im going to keep this short
"I appose abortion because its not natural"
Same person goes to the hospital, gets injected with man made chemicals rather than give free water birth or birth without aid.
"I eat meat because its natural"
Is it, is it really though? People have opted out of eating meat historically since the greeks.. If its un natural then why does the thought or action come across the human mind? You eat meat because its natural yet you eat genetically modified produce? Ok
"I appose same sex marriage because its unnatural"
Is it though? Humans are not the only animals that have been know to have same sex relation. Hate for your precious ears to hear this but it exists in this world how could it be "unnatural" ? What if nature intended on homosexuals to be care takers for other children? You appose same sex marriage because its not natural, yet marriage in itself is a man made concept?
im not trying to come off as an asshole but the whole "natural" argument is so tricky.. Im on my phone so sorry if the thread is messy but just wanna know your thoughts on the "natural" argument because me.. I cant stand it

I figure it's just due to the fact they have no other reason for why they oppose something other than that the man on TV told me I shouldn't like it.

I hate how meat is genetically modified. Thats why my family loves to hunt. We love fresh meat. So do our dogs. Its a ton healthier.

I don't hear anyone using the natural argument for abortion or meat.
Most people just think of killing an unborn child as wrong, not that its unnatural.
I eat meat, people may have opted out from eating meat historically since the Greeks, but people have also eaten it since then.
Same sex marriage is not natural because nature made creatures to reproduce. Nature didn't intend for a homosexual to take care of a kid. Just like some animals are taken care of by other animals, no intentions, it just happens. The whole "if its unnatural how can it exist in this world", comment is bull. A lot of things that aren't natural are in this world. I have never seen a tree of bleach in the forest, but I use it to wash my clothes.
No marriage is natural, but certain attractions are.

I like to be a smartass to these people. No mater how you look at it, everything is natural. The television in your room is natural in the sense that all the materials used were made naturally from the earth, they where formed and put together by natural organisms (humans) etc. There is no factual evidence to say any one thing is not "natural". Nature is nature, simple as that.
