No longer human is a really good sad anime with 5 different tragic stories

I could recommend Angel Beats and Elfen Lied those are the first 2 that popped into my head

I dont watch many sad animes but Winter Album 2 is a good sad romance.

(Watch #2 since they first one and second have little relevance)

-Clannad
-Death Note
-Sword Art Online (not really sad, it's epic and has parts where u think something bad is going to happen but it doesn't.)

-Elfen Lied

(I recommend this anime, it's one of my favorites. It's only one season but it's amazing and I think anyone would get hooked on this anime.)

Your Lie in April, it has incredible art and amazing character development. Its not like Clannad in a sense of you don't have to drag yourself through the first season :3

3. this literally has like 3 decently sad things threw out the whole series

Hmm.. try watching Grave of the Fireflies. It's a movie tho.

SAO (Sword Art online) it wasn't extreamly sad all the way through but when i finished the series up to date i was very sad for awhile
