Back when I had a 4g iPod I jailbroke it and it always slowed it down but I'm getting a iPhone 6s pluss for Christmas but don't know if I should. Does it still slow down your device?

It can, depending on what tweaks you install, or how many you install.

It depends on how often you clean your device and watch what you are installing. But just jailbreaking alone wont slow down your device.

Downloading A lot Tweaks could also lead to your iPhone slowing down.
Or just the games you must have could also slow down your iPhone

If you don't install a lot of packages then it should affect you to much.

I installed a medium amount of packages, and it slowed my iPod to all hell.

Jailbreaking doesn't slow down your device at all, it's what you install on it is what can slow it down

I have a 64gb iPhone 6.
I have 13gb worth of Packages, tweaks, tools, themes everything that came from cydia, any my phone still works like it did when I got it out the box.
As stated above, it's what you install, how many you install, and how much you clean your device and regularly delete outdated stuff that will determine your phone speed overall.
