The monitor you linked has nothing special going for it. 1ms means pretty much nothing.

Why is that? Is it just slapped on there and not actually enforced?

It's more about a lot of other monitors offering 1ms and it not being much of a selling point. If you wont notice the difference there's no point.

No, MS is not a real thing. In fact it's complete BS and a selling point. If you're looking for "response time" you wanna go for a 144hz monitor.

Milliseconds are very much real. Whether or not it's something to consider when picking up a monitor is up to you.

I'm sure what he means is that a monitor with "1ms response time" is still going to take 16.7ms to refresh the image on scree, as it's still a 60Hz panel.

OP-Buy the AOC panel suggested. It's nice, small bezel, IPS, and VESA compatible.

Input lag and display lag are real but response time isn't as real as it seems and at 60hz you have 16.7ms of delay regardless of the panel type, Display lag only matters at higher refresh rates unless we're talking about a panel which has a input lag of 50ms which would be terrible but that doesn't happen with modern displays, Generally if you're going for a 60hz panel be it for a console or a PC that response time figure given by the manufacture is meaningless.

Trust reviewers not the companies marketing staff.
