I just got the game made my character did all the starting bits and got into the bit where the port is then I was there for a while and my game crashed I then tried to go back on and when I click my character it just crashes instantly I don't know what to do I've done a hard reset a couple of times and that hasnt worked I think it might be a problem with Xbox or ESO servers but I am not sure

You're having trouble because of the influx of new players via the free play weekend for eso, or at least this is the idea that's been floating around. The game doesn't normally experience these problems and there hasn't been an update or anything major affecting the game other than the free play weekend. I believe the event ends this Sunday (today) so it may no longer affect you on your next attempt to play the game.
