My first time in drivers ed was really difficult. Our family has big vehicles, the smallest of which is our '94 Ford Aerostar (extended version). Past that I was always driving family members trucks, and the rental SUV's my dad would bring home (Suburbans and big things like that). I felt really comfortable driving, then I get in the drivers ed car and it was horrible lol. Really light car so it accelerated really fast compared to what I was used to, and the brakes where really solid. You'll get used to it, took me a couple weeks (1 drive a week).

Just take your time with driving, ain't no rush with it. If your nervous, just take things slowly. Your instructor won't be pissed off. Everyone learns at a different pace.

Haha yea, had kind of the same experience as you.
Didn't know the car would accelerate that quick with such little pressure. It get easier with practice.
Drive safe homie.

When I first started, I was surprised how little you have to push the accelerator down. I got used to it pretty quick, then went from learning in a 1.0 to moving up and driving a 2.0.
Once you have one or two lessons you'll get used to it.
Good luck with future lessons bud.

Cars are super easy to drive. Just be patient and understanding with learning.
