SlNATRA wrote Always been an XBOX360 lover since day one. Always will be for the old gen games
Got to say havent played the XB1 but thinking on ordering one.
I'd recommend getting the PS4. Although, it depends, ultimately. I have a gaming laptop and a PS4, and I used to have a Xbox 360. Xbox 360 vs PS3 = Xbox 360. Xbox One vs PS4 = PS4/depends. If you have more friends that play on the XB1, choose that. If you plan on not playing with your friends that are on the XB1 or have more friends on the PS4, I'd choose the PS4. If you're going to play with no gold, PS4. PS4's yearly subscription to gold is also $10 cheaper than Microsoft's XBL. PS4 has slightly better specs, XB1 plays at 720p while the PS4 is up at 1080p. PS4 has better specs overall, but not a massive difference (better for newer games, though!). Also, PS4 has the 15 minute recorder/unlimited streamer while XB1 is at either 5 or 10 minutes, I personally don't know. Don't go by the controllers, either, because whatever console you choose, you'll get used to that specific controller, people say they like the XB1 controller better because it's bigger, and that's true, only because they probably played on the Xbox 360, not the PS3, while from Xbox 360 to Xbox One controller is a huge difference, same with Xbox 360/PS3 to PS4. So basically, comes down to personal preference (which one your friends are on).

Xiggy wrote Having a controller is essential on some games. I use a Xbox 360 controller on GTA and some driving games.
Other than that, keyboard and mouse will always be better.
Im also amazed at how many pro PC there are. You would have asked this a couple of years back and consoles would have won flawlessly.
Dark souls screams essential on PC >_>

You're an Xbox modder and jailbreaker. ;)
I'm not going to go deep because I'm on my phone but it's really not that expensive.
Depending how nuts you want pc, to can build once for the price of a console bundle plus membership for ps4 and xbox. So for around £400, you can build a console killer.
Games are way cheaper. I got BO3 for £23 just a couple of days before release.
They are about equal in price by the time you consider everything
Not trying to argue with anyone but you totally missed my point PCs have come along ways since 1995 that is back when i use to game so in order to keep up with the best of the best i was always upgrading, Ram, graphic cards software, firmwware etc. just to be able to keep up the the newer games that were coming out so next time understand what i said. before you reply my first pc cost me $3500 as for now the one i been on for last 7 years to run a small home business , only cost me $1500 due to its not a gaming pc
The point is though, games get better graphics year on year. If you don't upgrade your system, you won't get the latest and greatest improvements.
That's no different to any console. Just because you CAN spend more money to run it in a higher quality yet again doesn't mean that you HAVE to. You can stick with a similar quality to what you have been running for the past however long.
Those that want to spend that much money to get the newest iteration of "ultra" settings can do so, everyone else sticks to their current quality; this includes every single console game.
I suppose it's changed in the more recent years as technology has improved a ridiculous amount. You don't to spend so much to keep at the top of the 'food chain'
Parts were not that expensive, they were just incredibly annoying to make sure they were being installed correctly. Also, consoles had comparible performance to high-end parts at the time. Right now, consoles are barely equivalent to low-end gaming parts. My £420 PC runs games so much smoother than a console, it's just laughable now. I loved the times when consoles were actually better at playing games...

I'm not denying that several years back, PC gaming was not in its prime. Parts were expensive, especially compared to the availability of consoles. That's why I never got into PC building/gaming until the past 5 years or so.
Surely you agree that PCs are now better? The facts are there to prove it at least.

I use a ps3 controller for some games like rocket league and darksouls. Works perfect.
